AOL sells digital marketing unit to Web panel firm

ENCINO, Calif. — uSamp, a provider of online survey panels, said Thursday it has purchased DMS Insights from Internet company AOL Inc. for an undisclosed sum.
DMS, also known as Digital Marketing Services Inc., provides online research services and panels.
AOL, which separated from Time Warner Inc. last year, also recently sold online social networking site Bebo to private investment firm Criterion Capital Partners LLC for an undisclosed price. Analysts said the sum was likely just a small fraction of the $850 million that AOL paid when it bought Bebo a little more than two years ago.
Shares of AOL slid 40 cents to $22.24 in morning trading.

Bing Wins in UK against Yahoo!

A new study at AT Internet Institute  reveals that Bing snatched off yahoo's  2nd place in UK.

The study accounted for more than 12,696 websites across Europe. In the UK, Yahoo fell 0.5 percent from February 2010 to March 2010, while Bing remained consistent month-over-month, indicating that Yahoo lost ground to less popular search engines. Google is still the dominant search engine in the country, taking up 89.7 percent of the country's searches. Bing and Yahoo account for 3.8 and 3.6 percent of the searches, respectively.
